Sunny Side Up on Flickr.I’ve been having a ball playing around with Silverprint’s new Solar Paper in advance of the next Filmwasters podcast. I tried a few photograms (as you do) and then moved onto contact printing from some digital negs. I am very pleased with the way they’ve come out. This image was originally captured on colour Fuji instant film with my 5x4Tachihara field camera. I knocked up a digi neg last night and printed it today.
The right hand print was chronically underexposed at 45 mins. The print on the left fared much better at approx 3 hours in very dull daylight.
I stained the underexposed print in coffee which dulls the blue to a darker bluish grey. I’ll do the same with the better print at some point.
Each print is about 10x8 and they both look pretty darn cool in the flesh.
